“Sword Japan” is opened based on the requirements of our customers.
There are three problems for many Japanese artisans.
- Most of them don’t speak English.
- Most of them are not familiar with online world.
- Most of them are not familiar with exporting (international shipping and custom clearance).
Japan has a notable lack of people with proficiency in foreign languages and the online world among artisans involved in producing traditional crafts. Moreover, while the traditional craft industry as a whole is adapting to a new generation of artisans, the issues of providing opportunities to learn about languages or the online world remain practically difficult for this group of people, who should be focusing on developing their human resources.
In many cases, these are issues common to the Japanese traditional craft industry as a whole, where corporate organization remains static.

operates as a specialist shipping and foreign trade company, and they have been acting on behalf of our business and personal clients in shipping and foreign trade since their founding in 2005.
They act as a shipping agency for our business and personal clients overseas by providing them with the use of a Japanese address. Additionally, they are contracted to provide manufacturing companies with the entirety of their warehouse management, foreign trade, and shipping operations.
Sword Japan is a project jointly conceived by experts from these two companies.

Sword Japan was established with the aim of collating information about Japanese swords owned by artisans, retailers, and collectors, and delivering that information to fans of Japanese swords the world over.
We now have the latest information about Japanese swords from all over Japan.
We only carry information about Japanese swords that have passed strict inspections, and whose owners have obtained a government-issued certificate of sword possession.
We only carry information about highly prized “juyo token” swords that have passed specialized appraisals and inspections for Japanese swords, and have obtained the relevant certificate.
